What's Up Downtown Meeting

Held the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m., these informational meetings are a way to share news and happenings with anyone interested in Downtown Sebring.  Location changes each month.  Call the CRA office for more information, (863) 471-5104.

Heartland 2011 March for Babies

March of Babies began in 1970 to raise money for babies and support the March of Dimes mission to help moms have full-term pregnancies and give every baby a healthy start.  Walk with your family and friends, vote on the best Spirit Station, and enjoy food and fun at the Finish Line!  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m. in Downtown Sebring's Circle Park.  For more information, contact Connie Young at (863) 687-8909 or cyoung@marchofdimes.com.

Gallery & Downtown Walk

Held the second Friday of each month, Sebring's Downtown will come alive with the unique and enjoyable monthly Gallery and Downtown Walk.  Celebrate each month with shopping, dining and strolling around the Downtown area! Nearly 20 participating galleries and stores will feature one-of-a-kind art and gifts available for purchase as well as art openings, gallery exhibits, and special drawings from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.GalleryWalkSebring.com

Saturday Night Cruise

Held the second Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., cruisers come from near and far to Sebring's Downtown Circle to see classic cars, listen to live entertainment and enjoy delicious food.  For more information, visit www.SebringCruise.com.

What's Up Downtown?

The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will host its next "What's Up Downtown?" meeting on hltTuesday, April 26 at 5:30 PM at Highlands Little Theater.  Items for discussion will be Sebring's Centennial, Downtown business hours and year-round special events.

Chalk Walk Competition  

chalkDuring the April Gallery Walk, seven teams of four students each competed in the SHS Art Student Cahlk Walk Art Competition in Downtown Sebring.  The student groups had a designated area along downtown sidewalks to design and draw their own unique art.   

 

Taste of the Race

tasteoftheraceJust in time to celebrate St Patrick's Day, Downtown Sebring celebrated the "Taste of the Race" on March 17.  Hosted by the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce, this event brought race cars to Downtown Sebring's Circle Park via police escort.  As the cars parked along the Circle, attendees looked inside the cars and talked with the drivers as they enjoyed music, food and fun...just in time to get everyone "geared up" for the 59th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

 

Tobey's Clowns

In conjunction with April Gallery Walk and the SHS balloonsChalk Walk Art Competition, Tobey's Clowns were in Downtown Sebring visiting with the guests and entertaining the youngsters.
