Highlands Little Theater presents Footloose
Performances on Wed, Fri and Sat start at 8 PM.  Sun performances start at 2:30 PM.  Tickets $15 - $40 available at box office, by phone at (863) 382-2525 or online at www.highlandslittletheatre.org. Box office hours are Mon - Fri 10 AM - 2 PM, and before each show.

August 13-15
2010 Sales Tax Holiday
The 2010 Sales Tax Holiday is scheduled for Aug. 13-15 and Historic Downtown Sebring merchants are open for business.  Shoppers looking to save money during this tax-free weekend are encouraged to visit Historic Downtown Sebring for great savings on books, clothing, footwear, accessories and school supplies.  

August 13
Gallery & Downtown Walk
Held the second Friday of each month, Sebring's Downtown will come alive with the unique and enjoyable monthly Gallery and Downtown Walk.  Celebrate each month with shopping, dining and strolling around the Downtown area! Nearly 20 participating galleries and stores will feature one-of-a-kind art and gifts available for purchase as well as art openings, gallery exhibits, and special drawings from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.GalleryWalkSebring.com

Saturday Night Cruise
Held the second Saturday of each month from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., cruisers come from near and far to Sebring's Downtown Circle to see classic cars, listen to live entertainment and enjoy delicious food.  For more information, visit www.SebringCruise.com.

August 26
Heartland Idol
Join us in the Circle Park at 6:00 p.m. to hear some of the area's best singers compete for the title of Heartland Idol.  Enjoy the talented artists with food and beverages available for purchase.  Admission is free for the public.  For more information about attending and performing at Heartland Idol, visit www.HeartlandIdol.com.

whats up DTIn order to continue to improve communication throughout Downtown Sebring, the next "What's Up Downtown" meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 5:30 PM at the Kenilworth Lodge.  If you have downtown information to share or want to get updates, be sure to attend this meeting.

Save Money in Downtown Sebring During the Sales Tax Holiday
The 2010 Sales Tax Holiday is scheduled for Aug. 13-15 and Historic Downtown Sebring merchants are open for business.  Shoppers looking to save money during this tax-free weekend are encouraged to visit carrillosHistoric Downtown Sebring for great savings on books, clothing, footwear, accessories and school supplies.  
     Downtown Sebring merchants that have exempted items include: Le Attique, Wild Artist Jewelry, Linda's Books, Happy Owl, Steve and Company, Captain Ron's Mercantile, Highlands Art League, Carrillo's Closet, Liz & Co, Kathy's Consignment and Etcetera.

Downtown Streetscape Project Underway
The Downtown Streetscape project began on the Circle on July 12, and work on the sidewalks will begin on July 26.  The project will not impact any events currently scheduled for the Circle.  For more details, please plan to attend the July 27 "What's Up Downtown?" meeting at the Kenilworth Lodge at 5:30 PM where Rob Miller, Sebring's director of public works, will be there to answer questions.

Strollers Enjoy Downtown's Gallery Walk
le attiqueEach month, on the second Friday, downtown Sebring merchants extend their hours so shoppers and strollers can enjoy the monthly Gallery & Downtown Walk, which takes place from 5-8 PM. 

If you were not there this month, you missed the art, shopping and music that fills the Circle Park with walkers of all ages.  It is a lot of fun, so be sure to mark you calendar for next month's Gallery Walk on Aug. 13.

To promote improvements within the redevelopment area through renovation and restoration of buildings, as well as to encourage new construction. To acquire the funding necessary to make the infrastructure improvements necessary to attract investment dollars and improve the assessed taxable value of district properties and to assist the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants in their efforts to market the downtown businesses.
