Downtown Sebring To Host Marketing Seminar
On May 19, Sebring's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will host a Marketing Seminar for merchants, businesses and organizations within the CRA District at the Kenilworth Lodge. Business owners and organization representatives from the Downtown Sebring CRA District are invited to attend the seminar, which was free to anyone who owns or works for a business in Downtown Sebring.
The seminar will provide information and consultation to downtown businesses on marketing initiatives such as web design, social media marketing, advertising design and promotional opportunities. Downtown Sebring Launches New Website
Sebring's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) recently launched its new website for Downtown Sebring, www.DowntownSebring.org. The website is designed to improve overall communications between the Downtown Sebring area and residents and visitors.
The website features useful information, including a comprehensive events calendar, links to area businesses, CRA information and downloadable forms, a photo gallery, links to the area's social media sites and E-newsletter, news and things to do in Downtown Sebring.
"We are thrilled to have this new communication tool available for everyone interested in Downtown Sebring," said Pete Pollard, CRA Executive Director. "I encourage residents and visitors to visit the site and support the downtown area and merchants." |

Downtown Sebring Hosted Monthly Gallery Walk
Gallery Walkers admire art at Brenner Pottery. | The month of May brings spring flowers and Historic Downtown Sebring's monthly Gallery Walk, which took place May 14, provided a lovely evening out. During the event, many downtown stores offer extended hours to provide downtown residents and visitors a chance to shop in Sebring's charming boutiques and art galleries all while enjoying music on the Circle. Walkers could also register to win the Gallery Walk Gift Basket, with gifts from area merchants, at any participating Gallery Walk merchant.
Participating Gallery Walk merchants include: Le Attique, Front Porch Dogs, Brenner Pottery & Gallery, Wild Artist Jewelry, Janet King Studio, Charlie's Steakhouse, Linda's Books, Children's Museum of the Highlands, Happy Owl, Steve and Company, Circle Salon, Captain Ron's Mercantile, Highlands Art League, Carrillo's Closet, Liz & Co, Kathy's Consignment, NPH HOBBIES, Etcetera, The Pier Group. Gallery Walk is held the second Friday of each month from 5-8 PM.
Art's Speak Easy
The Highlands Art League (HAL) hosted its annual Spring Fundraiser, with a roaring 20s theme of "Art's Speak Easy." Attendees enjoyed an evening of great food, silent auction, casino gambling, open bar and a lot of fun.
The event was held to raise money for the Artist Village that HAL manages and operates for adult and children's art classes, Highlands Museum of the Arts and the Artist House, which serves as a working art studio for various county artists.
