Hello Everyone!
It is hard to believe Christmas and 2012 is almost upon us! This year has been going by extremely quickly, and Showcase will be here before we all know it! The Grinch was a HUGE success, and we are so grateful to everyone who was apart of it, and who came to watch and support all of the dancers.
As many of you are aware, Showcase costumes have been ordered, and our theme (along with pictures of the costumes) will be revealed when we return from Winter Break on Monday, January 2nd. At the studio this becomes a wonderful time in classes for the students as we come to the end of our first session of curriculum. Often you will notice a few new faces in classes (thanks to the end of soccer season and the start of a new year), and you should see the students soaring through their skills and learning a ton to implement into their Showcase routines. Luckily, there is also a little time for relaxation during this busy Holiday Season, as our hard-working dancers and staff enjoy some much deserved time off during the aforementioned Winter Break.
Please remember we are always available to answer questions, and can be as close as an email away! Our front office is open Monday through Thursday from 3:00-8:00pm, and on Saturdays from 9:30-1:00pm if you ever need anything.
Happy Holidays! Heather, Lynn and Bradian

Showcase Costumes!
Theme and costumes will be revealed once we have returned from the Winter Break (Monday, January 2nd). Over the years, it has become a tradition to keep the Showcase theme and photos of the costumes a secret until the New Year has begun! So as you and your dancer return to the studio in January, keep your eyes peeled! We will spend some time in each class showing the students their costume, listening to their music, and in general getting everyone excited about another Spring Showcase.
Showcase Costume Billing has started on this month's statement. As you review your monthly charges, you should see a section reflecting your charge for Showcase costumes ordered. If you did not order a costume, there will be no charge (however if you feel you should have been charged for a costume, please contact us immediately). If your dancer is participating in only one Showcase dance, you will see your full costume charged. If you have two or more dancers or costumes, your total costume bill will be split into two equal payments shown on this month, and next month's statements. Once our order has been placed, we cannot cancel or add to it; there are NO REFUNDS for Showcase costumes.
Late Order Costumes can still be ordered! If you forgot to turn in your Showcase Costume Commitment Form, or if you have recently registered or added a new class, you can still order a costume. These costumes can be ordered until the beginning of February, but after that we won't be able to get them here in time for the Showcase. Please stop by the front office to fill out a Late Costume Order form, and remember that due to the nature of our orders, all costume payments are non-refundable.
Please read through our GENERAL INFORMATION handbook for more details about Showcase costs and other studio policies!

A Grinch-y Thank you!
To our parents, we want to thank you for your amazing and magical children; their joy and their enthusiasm has encouraged us to make this production bigger and better. To our audience, we want to thank you for your eyes, your thoughts, and most importantly your laughter. Thank you to Liz Peck, for capturing each and every memory, and for the precious moments caught in each child's face. Miss Kathy, our special 'Seuss'tress your creativity and humor along with your talent have clothed this show in the best costuming we could ask for.
Most importantly, thank you to all of our kids. It is your sweetness and your smiles that have made this show truly magical, there is simply no other word for it. Countless times we have left rehearsal with a joy in our hearts that is inexpressible.
Our "Hearts" are truly that, you are beautiful, you are graceful, and absolutely awe-inspiring. Our Cindy-Lou, you have stepped not only into the role, but into the entire spirit of the Grinch - we are so proud of you. To our Max, what a faithful companion you have been. And not to be forgotten, our Grinch, YOU have made this show, YOU are this show.
Thank you for sharing all your love, you will never know how much it has meant to us.

From the Front Desk:
Lost and Found Items: Once again we have noticed that the studio Lost and Found is overflowing! A couple times a year we donate the items to Goodwill in an effort to keep the studio somewhat organized! If you think you may have lost something at the studio or at one of our shows, please stop by the Front Desk to look through the Lost and Found. All items will be taken to Goodwill over Winter Break.
Returning From Break: Please notice that we will not be returning for our Winter Break on the same schedule as the Hillsboro School District. We WILL be open on Monday, January 2nd and will be holding classes as usual. We do not start a different schedule, but will remain operating as we have since September. We are open to ensure that those of you with Monday classes receive an equal number of classes as those who have classes on other days of the week. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Inclement Weather Policy: In case of inclement weather conditions, we need you to refer to our website, your email, and/or our studio voicemail. On a day when weather is in question we will let you know by 7am via our website, your email, and/or our voicemail whether we have decided that closure is necessary.
Tuition Payments: December tuition is charged as a full month in accordance with our Tuition Structure as stated below, and in our General Information. "For the Main session (Sept-June) monthly tuition rates are based on the number of weeks in the school calendar year. Tuition consists of a fixed monthly charge, based on the # of classes a student/family is enrolled in. This means occasionally there will be 3 or 5 classes in one month, but on average there will be 4 classes per month, thus the monthly charge will not change throughout the school year. No discounts will be given for holidays as that time has already been taken into account. Tuition is non-refundable."

Birthday Parties!
New Vision Dance Center is happy to provide you with a birthday party your child is sure to remember! Parties run for 2 hours on Friday or Saturday. All parties start out with a fun craft, and then boogie their way into the dance room for 45 minutes of dancing fun! From there, a New Vision staff member will help with cake and assist the dancers in a gift giving game to open presents. You provide the cake and refreshments, and we provide the PAPER GOODS, TABLECLOTHS, GOODIE BAGS, and of course ALL the CLEAN UP! To book your party, please call New Vision Dance Center at 503.693.6166 and ask for Miss Courtney, or click here to visit our website for more information.
