| | Thanks to increased funding from the City of New London (2010-2011) and the James P. and Mary E. Shea Perpetual Trust, Sunday hours will continue through the end of March.
Did you know that on Sundays, patrons borrow more books per hour than any other day of the week?
From a comment on our Facebook page from a library user :
With all the bad stuff going on the world, you just can't beat a seven-day-a-week library. And if you live downtown, why it's just up the street. No carbon foot or even a toe.

American Friends of Kenya (AFK) requested circulation cards, date due cards and book pockets. The Public Library of New London was able to donate 1925 date due cards, 60 large self-stick pockets, 146 small self-stick pockets and 265 paper pockets that we no longer use with our computerized circulation system. These items will be included in a container shipping to Kenya at the end of March. A Connecticut librarian from Windsor organized this project.
Remember You can now renew books and other items from your home computer, anytime. You can also place holds on any items that are listed in the catalog. If you would like an explanation on how to do this, please ask at the Information Desk in the Reading Room.
