| Greetings! |
This month Pathways, MI would like to celebrate children and youth in our communities. We recognize that their development, well-being, and happiness is important. So we invite you to celebrate them during the month of April--give them some extra encouragement, read to them, play with them at the park...do anything that they enjoy!
There are all kinds of opportunities for you and your family to participate in throughout the month of April. We encourage you to frequently visit our Event Calendar for the most up-to-date opportunities. |
| APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH! |
This month we want to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect and encourage individuals and communities to support children and families.
We invite you to join us in supporting awareness by planting Blue Pinwheel Gardens to support Child Abuse Prevention.
The Blue Pinwheels are a national symbol representing our commitment to prevent child abuse and neglect.

| APRIL IS THE MONTH OF THE YOUNG CHILD! |
|
Each April Michigan celebrates Month of the Young ChildŽ
 |
This is a time when communities and individuals recognize the needs and rights of young children and their families.
Since 1971, one week in April has been celebrated nationally as Week of the Young Child. In 1985, Michigan expanded the celebration to the entire month of April, with each week having a specific focus.

| GREAT START "BANANZAS" A SUCCESS! |
The Pathways, MI Great Start Regional Resource Center Resource 'Bananzas' were both a great success! Many child care providers attended and received valuable resources and information. We were able to answer a number of questions about new state training requirements, helping to ease some of the anxiety and frustration that comes with such a significant change.
Congrats to everyone involved in making this community outreach effort such a success!
