What can you not "be with"?...
|
No, it's not a Petri dish... 
Now, obstructions are natural and, indeed, healthy people avoid certain things. The question, however, becomes, how far will we go not to to be with certain things. We often compulsively build large, constricting buffers around those things we cannot be with. As a result, the inhabitable place, the conduit through which our energy flows becomes more and more constricted.
It's understandable, for example, not to want to be with rejection, but do we resist relationship to avoid it? It's natural not to want to be with violence, but do we refuse to leave home for fear of encountering it? It's reasonable not to want be wrong, but do we refrain from being anything at all to steer clear of it?
What are you afraid to "be with"?
How has the original fear developed additional layers of insulation and, subsequently, isolation?
