Balabhadra (ISCOWP president and ISKCON Minister for Cow Protection and Agriculture)  is now in a physical therapy facility nearer to home. He is showing improvement with his ability for movement and is being kept very busy by the therapists. The goal is to keep him moving to increase his mobility as much as possible. The doctors at Ruby Memorial Hospital said that the healing process is different for everyone who has Gulliane-barre syndrome. We are encouraged as there is improvement and Balabhadra is determined and willing to work through the pain to achieve as much movement as he can.

I spoke to the doctor and nurses there and they said that he will be very busy most of the day and then he will be tired. He just arrived at this facility last night and even last night he felt improvement. They do not encourage many guests but do encourage the primary caregivers to visit. If anyone wants to visit please get in touch with me, Chayadevi, so we can coordinate with his therapy, resting, etc.  He is trying to do some email and his email is: balabhadra.iscowp@earthlink.net  At this point he cannot pick up the phone by himself and he is in and out of the room for various types of therapy. We do not know how long he will be at this facility. Needless to say we want to take full advantage of all the expertise and help offered here to achieve as much movement as possible before returning home.

In summary, the healing process has begun and although he is under close observation to be sure the Gullian-barre Syndrome has truly stopped progressing, we are moving forward in body and mind.
