From Cheryl Ting, Assistant Head of Academics JLletter

The "A" Team

It has been quite a memorable start to the year, not only for me professionally, as I've moved into the role of Assistant Head of Academics, but also personally. I am now the proud mother of two middle schoolers, whose well being and learning are  in the capable hands of our dynamic Middle School Team. As I sat through last night's Middle School Back-to-School Night, listening to my children's teachers describe their programs, I could only look at my husband and mouth the words, "When did this all happen?!" Our babies have reached the tipping point where they are closer to leaving home, than coming home for the first time. As a parent, that realization is a bittersweet one. Indeed, this is a year marked by many memorable (and wonderful) transitions. (Click here to read the entire article)

Pizza Friday Volunteers NeededPizza

We need parent and guardian volunteers to help make Pizza Fridays run smoothly. Ideally, volunteers work a few consecutive Fridays so that we aren't training new volunteers too often. You need to arrive at 11:25 a.m. and you finish no later than 12:30. It's a great way to sneak a peek at your kids and get a free slice of pizza!

If you are available to help, please contact Jill Nesbitt at 534.0800 or by email.

Student Athlete FormsForms

Student athletes must return their signed Middle School Sports League (MSSL) Guidelines and Student Athlete Pledge form to their coach in order to receive a uniform and participate in meets and games. Click on links to download forms or visit the Athletics page on the website.

Sign up for eScrip and Support RDSeScrip

Did you know that 90% of our YTD eScrip contributions come from regular everyday Grocery purchases? Currently, less than 1/3 of our RDS community is taking advantage of this easy opportunity to support RDS.

Don't let another grocery shopping trip pass you by without registering at eScrip to ensure that RDS receives a percentage of your grocery purchases. Go to www.escrip.com and register (our eScrip ID number is 137330979). 100% participation will result in continuous meaningful financial contributions to our school at no additional cost, so please register today!
