Called to Serve
EDGE Special Edition E- News
Greetings!
This is a special edition of the EDGE E-News to give you some information and ideas about EDGE Service Projects.

All EDGIES are encouraged to participate in multiple service projects and these fall into four basic types as described below.  After you have completed a service project, you should fill out a Service Card.  The more service cards you complete, the better your chances for receive fabulous prizes!

Service projects are fun and a great way to spread God's love to others.  It is an important part of our EDGE Program.
Pumpkins Service Project Type #1
Type #1 service projects are CHURCH-RELATED service projects.  These include ways that you can help out AT church.  Being part of the Church Community is an important way for you to feel and BE part of their parish.

Service Project Type #3 - EDGE Team ProjectsPumpkins
Each of the EDGE Teams will select and participate in a team service project.  Some previous teams have chosen to work at the Soup Kitchen in Ypsilanti or one of the Knights Fish Fry Dinners.  There are many things you can do together as a team!  If you have suggestions, please talk to your team leader!
Service Project Type #4 - Personal Service ProjectsPumpkins
EDGIES are encouraged to do personal service projects also.  No, this doesn't mean doing something for YOURSELF but doing something for someone else close to you, whether a friend, relative or neighbor.  This can be anything from walking a dog, babysitting, raking leaves, etc. but it must be unsolicited and you must not get paid for it!
If you have any questions about these projects, or any other EDGE programs, please contact the EDGE office at 429-8467 or standrewedge@comcast.net.
