Greetings!
 It has been a busy first half of the year - the Guilds have already held 13 events and 10 hospital meetings and/or tours!
Just last month the Guilds came together and celebrated a successful 2011 fundraising year at their annual All Guild Picnic. Read below on the amount given to Children's, which was a record breaking amount!
We have another 18 Guild events and Holiday Boutiques sales to go in 2012...

 Childhood Cancer Survivorship
Chances for a better future
Yesterday, June 27, the Guilds Coordinating Council members heard from Dr. John Gates, Program Director for the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program and Elena Romero, Director of Major and Planned Gifts with the Foundation.
Dr. Gates explained how the program provides a comprehensive evaluation of the cancer survivor's health and academic and social development, as well as patient education about their diagnosis, treatment, potential late effects and how to maintain good health.
As well, Elena shared with the Guilds a new $4 million campaign initiative around Childhood Cancer Survivorship Endowment.

 All Guild Picnic
The Guilds present $832,244 to Children's
The Guilds held their annual All Guild Picnic, hosted by La Comida Guild, on May 23, 2012. Over 240 Guild members came together to celebrate the combined funds raised in 2011.
Guild Coordinating Council Vice Chair Noreen Wade presented $832,744 to Children's Hospital leadership. In 2011 the Guild held a total of 26 fundraising events.
"The Guilds are the soul of Children's" as Carolyn Peck, founding mother of Children's Hospital once said - and we are thankful for the supporting the Guilds give Children.
