Lifeguard at Civic Center

There is a lifeguard on duty at the Civic Center pool from 3:30pm until 5:30pm on Wednesdays.  Having a lifeguard present allows children ages 8 to 15 to swim without an adult present.  Anyone younger than 8 must still be supervised.  So grab your friends and come to the Civic Center after school on Wednesdays to swim!
Supervision of Children at the
Civic Center

The Civic Center is a tremendously popular place during the winter months for all ages.  Parents however, are reminded of the minimum age restriction for unsupervised use.  Any children under 8 years of age wishing to use the Civic Center must be directly supervised by an adult (19 & older) during their visit.  Being 'directly' supervised means being in the same activity area as your child (ex.  in the pool area while they are swimming).

Please do not drop off your child (under 8 yrs.) or allow them to come to the Civic Center if they will not be supervised.  This is for their safety and your peace of mind.  We will call the parents of any child that is left unsupervised so they can be picked up.  Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
Parks & Rec Advisory Board Election

There will be two "at-large" positions on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to be filled during the upcoming election.  Both positions will serve two year terms.  The at-large positions may only be filled by individuals who are Civic Center members and are at least 19 years old.

December 23rd is the last day for nominations to be placed on the ballot.  The election will take place on Wednesday, January 4th from 6pm to 6:30pm at the Wahoo Senior Center.  Each Civic Center "membership" may cast one ballot.  Only those 18 & older are eligible to vote.  Contact Cindy or Kevin at 443-4174 for more information.
