| Thank You! | |
The Parks and Recreation Department receives tremendous support from individuals and businesses in the community. Please thank these individuals and businesses for their contributions and donations:
Eddie Lawn Service (Brett Eddie) is again donating their time and materials this season to assist with the turf maintenance at Sam Crawford Field.
New bullpen mounds were constructed at Sam Crawford Field as a result of the efforts of many individuals, led by Mark McGill. Thanks to Reimers Kauffman Concrete, Bob Sloup, and "The Craw" Club for their donations of materials and equipment. The new mounds are a welcome improvement.
Trede Electric & Lighting (Pat Trede) provide their crane and assistance with replacing and maintaining the lights at Sam Crawford Field and Hackberry Park. |
| Annual Civic Center Maintenance Shutdown | The Civic Center will be closed from August 2-8 in order to perform annual maintenance and repair within the facility. All activity areas of the facility will closed. The week-long shutdown allows staff to perform a number of maintenance duties including draining and painting the pool, stripping and resealing all hard surface and wood floors, and performing a number of other chores that could not be done while the building was open to the public. The Civic Center will re-open on Monday, August 9th. |
| Indoor Pool Lifeguard | | Please note that there is not a lifeguard on duty at the Civic Center during the summer. However, a lifeguard will be assigned in the afternoon from 1pm to 5pm (except Sundays) in the event the Aquatic Center closes early or does not open due to inclement weather conditions. |

Administered locally by the Three Rivers Health Department, the Pool Cool program is a sun-safety education program whose main objective is to increase awareness, motivation, and sun protection practices among children 5-10 who take swimming lessons, their parents, aquatics staff, and other pool users. Watch for Pool Cool information during swim lessons and throughout the summer at the Aquatic Center. Click here for more details about the program.
Also...don't forget...there's still time to register for summer swim lessons. Openings still remain in the second and third sessions. Visit www.wahoociviccenter.com for more details. |
