NTD NEWS
June 30, 2010

Although summer officially began last week, the 4th of July is when summer really feels like it is here. The "parade of parades" this weekend are sure to put all of us in a summertime state of mind. Will you be marching in one (or more) of them? You have plenty of choices listed below.
Summer is also the season for BBQ's, and this year the New Trier Dems will be hosting neighborhood BBQs for Democrats in every part of New Trier.
The first of these get-togethers will be on Sunday July 11. One will be in Winnetka from 3pm to 5pm at the home of our Democratic Committeeman, Dean Maragos, 230 Church St.
Another will be on Sunday July 11 from 4pm to 6pm in Wilmette's Gillson Park Picnic Shelter, near the Wilmette Beach behind the Lakeview Center.
BBQ's are also planned in West Wilmette for Saturday July 17 at 420 Pine Manor Drive, from 2pm to 4pm; in Winnetka for Wednesday July 21 at 860 Summit from 6pm to 8pm and in Glencoe, Thursday July 22 at 862 Grove St. from 6pm to 8pm.
Every New Trier Democrat is encouraged to bring their friends and neighbors to one of the gatherings. It's a nice way to get to know each other better as we share ideas on how make sure the Mitch McConnells, John Boehners and Mark Kirks in Congress have a terrible November 2010. To tell the NTD which BBQ you can attend, call the office at 847-446-8030
The New Trier Dems will march in the Glencoe July 4th Parade.
It's not an extra-big or extra-long parade, but it is the only 4th of July parade in New Trier Township that will include The New Trier Democrats and their banner. The line up is at 1:45 at the corner of South and Greenwood and the parade starts at 2:00 and lasts just about 20 minutes. Representative Karen May will be marching with us. Join your fellow NT Dems in Glencoe!
You'll have plenty of parades to choose from this 4th of July weekend. Your candidates will be marching -- they need you marching with them.
The Dan Seals Campaign, the Daniel Biss Campaign, our new State Representative Robyn Gabel, our great candidate for Cook County Board Jennifer Bishop Jenkins and our exceptional  Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky are all inviting their supporters to join them this July 4th weekend to celebrate our nation's freedom. -- The more people marching, the stronger the show of support for these exceptional Democrats.*
