NTD NEWS
June 23, 2010

On Sunday, the bleachers of the "Wrigley View" Rooftop  on Waveland Ave. were filled with New Trier Democrats, family members and friends to watch the Cubs clobber the Los Angeles Angels 12 to 1 (the day before, when we weren't in the stands, the Cubs lost to the Angels 12 to 0 -- coincidence?). The Wrigley View was a terrific location for watching the game with excellent sightlines. If any readers ever consider having a rooftop party of their own, the Wrigley View comes highly recommended. Everyone agreed that it was a great afternoon and several people said they hoped we can do it again next year. We'd like to make it a summer tradition. -- The Bottle Shop party last Thursday was also a well attended and lively group. NT Dems owe the Shop our thanks.
This week's NTD News offers more outdoor activities -- all involving marching -- as well as a number of fundraisers always so important to candidates. So, why not plan to enjoy the summer sunshine in parades this weekend and again over the July 4th weekend. When you do, you'll be making a strong statement for your values and your candidates.
