NTDO NEWS
April 7, 2010
This Sunday April 11, the New Trier Dems plan to see a large crowd at the Winnetka Community House to meet and hear our state's Attorney General, Lisa Madigan. She'll be talking about the challenges and changes she sees ahead for Illinois in her role as Attorney General. This is sure to be a very interesting and informative forum and one that shouldn't be missed.
And if you're a member of the NTDO, each forum will also be a great opportunity to introduce one of your friends or neighbors to the New Trier Dems organization. This is a sure way to grow our numbers. As the Mid-term Elections approach, the more grassroots volunteers the NTDO has in its ranks, the better the chances for keeping Mark Kirk out of the U.S. Senate, sending Dan Seals to Congress and electing Daniel Biss and Robyn Gabel to our State Legislature. See you in Winnetka, Sunday afternoon.

Tomorrow night April 8 -- Will Legislative Redistricting put you in a different district? David Hoffman will explain why there may be some moves in your future.
|
Last year, Governor Quinn's
Illinois Reform Commission recommended substantially reforming the
state's redistricting process. The League of Women Voters and the
Illinois Campaign for Political Reform (ICPR) responded by joining with
other reform groups to draft a proposed amendment to the Illinois
Constitution that is designed to reduce the role of politics in
deciding where the boundaries should be for state legislative
districts.
