Contribution limits? Campaign transparency? Public financing of campaign? -- What's being done about it?
|
Campaign reform in Illinois is being approached from several directions. Which approach is best? Which is most likely to become a reality? We've invited a series of experienced discussion leaders to the NTDO office to give their insights on three Monday nights. On April 27, our stellar Democratic candidates Dan Seals and Daniel Biss will lead a discussion on campaign contribution limits. On May 4 County Commissioner Larry Suffredin will discuss campaign transparency and Mary Lou Aagard of the Illinois League of Women Voters will speak about the present state of the Illinois State Board of Elections. And on May 11, Partick Keenan Devlin of Citizen's Action will field questions about public financing of campaigns.
