An online Newsletter To equip you with the Word God Has Something to Tell You Copyright © 2009 Wendy Campbell, Min. In our relationship with God, the Father of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, He reveals, shows, exposes, and explains many things to us. There are some things we can never know without revelation. We know that revelation is revealed knowledge
from God, and we must continuously seek God for revelation in prayer. Here's why: The other day, I was called to the home of a young woman who requested prayer. She had been released from surgery the day of my visit. A close relative, who is the co-worker and friend of this young woman, accompanied me.
When the relative and I arrived, the woman began to share with us
the plight of her breast cancer. Doctors were able to detect the cancer at the first
stage, she told us. She explained that she had had a prior surgery to remove her
reproductive organs. It was during that surgery that doctors discovered the cancer. Then she told us that before she was informed of the cancer, she had been in deep prayer.
Led into a fast, she said she prayed and fasted for eight days. Upon completion of the fast, the cancer news manifested. She painfully asked, "Why did this happen to me?" Not knowing what to say, I sought the Lord for answers. I believe the Holy Spirit
revealed to me a corresponding response. I conveyed what I believe the Spirit of God
was saying: "This [cancer] "did not happen" to you, [rather] it was information revealed to you.
"Because you fasted and prayed," I said, "I believe God was able to reveal to you
what was already seeded inside of you. The cancer news was the manifestation of good
news because through prayer and fasting, God was able to tell you something;
and He reached you in time." The first stage of cancer, in the many cases I have heard about,
can be eradicated and stopped from spreading. My meeting with the young woman occurred on Saturday. The next day,
I was reacquainted with an old friend, who approached me after church service.
During the course of our conversation, she informed me that one of our former
classmates was recently memorialized after losing a short battle with cancer.
Brenda (not her real name), said that when our classmate was informed of the news,
the cancer was already at stage five. The classmate, according to Brenda, passed
away soon after receiving this information. I pondered about the difference between these two beautiful women who were diagnosed
with cancer. One got the news in time, and the other got the news too late. I do not have any knowledge of my former classmate's prayer life or her relationship
with God. But I do know that God is always ready, willing and waiting to tell us something. He is always near, and when we are postured in continuous prayer to listen,
we will hear Him. But if we are not bent on hearing from God, we could miss many
opportunities in life. There are some things that can only be revealed by God himself.
With His revelation,
He gives us the answer and shows us what to do-all in a timely manner.
From my personal experience, just like many of you, I know God is never late;
He is always on time. This is why a more than casual relationship with God is very necessary. Our relationship with God is necessary to bring about a change in our life,
and to do the impossible. A relationship with th Father is necessary to expose and explain,
as well as lead and guide us into things we can never know without His help.
Our relationship with God protects us from unseen danger.
It provides a much-needed covering, and with it comes many benefits that pertain to life.
The young woman I visited may have gotten news that was not so pleasant, but just think
if she had not gotten the news at all. But she got it in time. I realize that it was the doctor who delivered the news about the cancer, but it was
the Holy Spirit that led her to the doctor in a timely manner. It was also the Holy Spirit that led her into prayer and fasting. There are some things
that can only be done through prayer and fasting. I believe God wants to tell us something.
If we are available, and not too busy, He will reveal to us great and mighty things.
Is God trying to tell you something? Make these scriptures your own and use them to bring forth whatever
you need to know from God today. For Healing: "Howbeit, this kind (cancer) goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting." Mat 17:21 kjv For Revelation: "And He said unto them, this kind (information; healing) can come forth by nothing,
but by prayer and fasting." Mark 9:29 kjv See "Bringing the Word" Newsletter "Taking Authority Through Prayer" June 30, 2009 For further study: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6a kjv For Meditation: "Out of the mouths of two or three witnesses, let every word be established." "...Ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts." Malachi 3:7 kjv "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice." Psalm 50:5 kjv Pray without ceasing." Phil 5:17 kjv
