 Greetings!
Thank you again for taking the time to read our newsletter. We have opened many pools already and are anxiously awaiting the Memorial Day rush here at our retail store. As all our loyal store clients know, we get very busy on Monday mornings, Friday afternoons, and all day on Saturday. We do our best to try to help everyone in a timely fashion but ultimately wait times can get pretty long during those times. Our store hours are Monday thru Friday 9 -5 and Saturday 9-3. If you can possibly plan your visit around the previously mentioned times your wait time will hopefully be minimal.

Staycation
May, National Water Safety Month
At last, Memorial Day is just around the corner. The first step in Staycation should be safety. While preparing to enjoy your pool & spa for the 2009 swimming season please take the time to review the safety rules with family and friends. Please be sure to visit the link below Layers of Protection Brochure as you prepare for the review. Remember these layers are back-ups to the primary means of accident prevention: RESPONSIBLE ADULT SUPERVISION.
The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals along with the World Water Park Association & National Recreation and Parks Association is sponsoring May is National Water Safety Month. To help promote public awareness, Gallagher Pools & Spas will be hosting a Water Safety Festival on Saturday May 23, 2009 from 1:00 - 3:00.
Assisting us will be Donna Babylon, certified swimming instructor. She, with the help of some children will be demonstrating learn to swim techniques, as well as some water rescue techniques that will not involve the rescuer getting in the pool. There will also be available to you information on CPR, Safety Covers & Fences, Pool Alarms, and Sun Protection.

Meet Our Staff
Charlie Koontz has been with Gallagher  Pools & Spas for 14 years. Charlie began with Gallagher Pools & Spas as a helper, and worked his way up to Service Technician. Charlie is our "equipment installation specialist." If you have us install a new heater, filter, or pump anytime soon, you will very likely see Charlie in you yard!
When Charlie is not working at Gallagher's he helps out on the family farm, doing whatever it takes to keep things running. So in what little spare time he has you can find him spending time with his fiance' Betina, her son Nick, and their daughter Maggie.

Be a Safe Swimmer Coloring Contest
To help us spread the water safety word, Gallagher Pools & Spas will be holding a coloring contest for kids ages 2 - 10. You can click on this link and print out the page to be colored. After your child finishes his/her masterpiece you can either bring it with you to our store or mail it back to us on or before May 30, 2009. All children who participate will be entered into a drawing for a $15.00 gift certificate to purchase pool toys. For a complete list of rules click here. All entries will be on display in our store!
