Pease Companies Donate to Pease Greeters

PG1On August 7th, Pease neighbors Newmarket International and PIXELMedia hosted a Patriots-themed BBQ for its employees to raise money for the Pease Greeters.  They were able to raise $1800 to cover the cost of postage for sending care packages to the troops.

According to Gillian Tierney, VP of Human Resources at Newmarket International, "The employees from Newmarket International and Pixel Media are extremely generous and have a wonderful commitment to the community.  It was a great afternoon and we are very thankful to Captain Ed and JoAnne from Pease Greeters for all of their work supporting the troops, and to Pixel Media for joining us in this event.

Newmarket International has been having cookouts every other Friday this summer as part of a Summer of Giving Program. At each cookout, we sponsor a different charity to raise money.  So far this summer we have supported the NHSPCA, American Cancer Society, Seacoast Science Center, A Safe Place, Pease Greeters, and our final charity cookout for the summer will supporting Make a Wish Foundation of NH on Aug. 21st. "

If you are interested in donating items for the care packages or to cover the postage cost, please contact JoAnne Schottler.
