As you make decisions about your end-of-year giving, I hope you will consider Pendulum. Your support will help us continue to bring our high-quality aerial education programming and performances to the Portland area. Pendulum is a 501(c)3 organization, so any donation you make is tax-deductible. In addition, we are supported by the Oregon Cultural Trust. This means that if you donate to us, you can then make a matching donation to the Trust, which can be claimed as a tax credit, instantly reducing your Oregon tax bill. Everybody wins!

My best holiday wishes to you all and I look forward to more aerial magic in 2012!

We're fast approaching our full-length production of High Art in Salem, and we're looking forward to performing for a hometown crowd! We will be at The Historic Elsinore Theatre on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Tickets are available online now.

It should be an especially exciting evening with vocalist, Sasha Lazard, and trio, Deoro (featuring Dave Eggar on cello), accompanying us.

Hope to see you there!

Now is the time to register for our Winter Term. Classes run from Saturday, January 28-Thursday, June 7. Be sure to fill out your registration form before classes are full. We'll be kicking off the new term with preparations for our annual Community Day and Student Showcase which will be on Sunday, April 15. Mark your calendars!

Looking ahead to our famed Summer Intensive, we have confirmed that UK-based Nicole Pearson will be returning to coach. She will be joined by guest artists Martin Frenette of Berlin and Pendulum's own Tsengee Byambadorj, as well as our resident coaching staff. Dates are June 25-July 7 (with the 4th of July off). You can register online for this as well.

Pendulum is so excited to announce that we have been nominated for a Special Events Gala Award. We were nominated for our performance at VIVID: Art After Dark event at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Awards will be given at The Special Event conference in Tampa where we will be in attendance as an exhibitor. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Before the end of 2011, we are squeezing just a couple more events into our hectic schedule. On December 3, we performed at the Oregon Convention Center for Travel Portland's Fam Event. And on New Year's Eve, we will ring in 2012 with a rousing Can Can performance at the Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester, WA.

Then 2012 starts off with a bang with an aerial performance on January 13 at Price Waterhouse Coopers "Cirque du Salon de l'Auto", an event celebrating the Detroit Auto Show, and our attendance at The Special Event January 25-27.

Pendulum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen the arts community by collaborating with diverse artists from around the globe, to expose the public to a unique form of moving art through live performance, and to enrich the community by inspiring and educating youth.
