From Our Artistic Director

2010 is coming to a close. And it has been an amazing year! You came to see our shows in record numbers, we staged the exquisite High Art to rave reviews, and saw demand for our education program reach new heights. We were also honored to appear at events on behalf of companies like Cirque du Soleil and Intel, and in support of local nonprofits Girls Inc, Cascade AIDS Project, Work for Art, to name a few.

Part of the magic in our aerial artistry is making something difficult look like it's easy, effortless. As fans and loyal newsletter readers, you know that we are proud to do the hard work it takes to bring you the artistry and programming we offer to the community.

We'd like to ask if you'd do something pretty easy in return:

make an end of year donation to Pendulum.

Your tax deductible contribution now will help us:

- keep our tuition among the lowest in the area

- create a scholarship fund so that we can accept any child who want to be in our classes

- stage upcoming public performances in Portland

- create a fund for touring that will allow us to share High Art with people across the US.

Pendulum is part of the Oregon Cultural Trust's Matching Gift Tax Credit program. Simply make a contribution to Pendulum now, then make a matching gift to the Cultural Trust and claim your entire Trust contribution as a tax credit. You give twice but it only costs you once ... and you double your support of Oregon culture!

True to form, we've packed this newsletter with information on upcoming Winter/Spring programming and 2011's Summer Intensive.
So read on and join us for more high-flying antics in 2011.

I send you all wishes for a safe, inspiring and abundant New Year.

Suzanne Kenney, Artistic Director
