Our most recent production,
"Nine," was a huge success in Portland, OR. We are taking it on the road next month to the Mendocino College Repertory Dance Company in Ukiah, CA. While we're there, we will also be offering workshops with the dance company.
Show and workshop dates are November 20-22, 2009.

August, September, and early October have been creative
and busy times for Pendulum.
We held our 9th annual Summer Intensive with special guests from England, Nicole Pearson and Jamie Frith.  Nicole is a former Pendulum company member and was head coach of the educational program from 2005-2007. She and her partner, Jamie, travel the world performing and are experts in all disciplines of circus arts, from high-flying trapeze, rope, silks and adagio. Nicole set a bold, sophisticated and highly athletic eight-woman fabric piece for the Portland Art Museum's patron dinner on October 9-part of the "China Design Now" exhibit opening. The couple worked with Pendulum's recreational students developing new skills.
We also welcomed back Andrew Adams & Ericka Gilfether from Chicago, IL on their way to Seattle to perform in Teatro Zinzanni. They will be coming to Portland regularly over the next year to perform with Pendulum and contribute skills for our 10th anniversary show, "High Art."

Pendulum Premieres Themed Events
Pendulum appeared at several private events this season including an outdoor show at the opening of Sinju Clackamas, "Juggling the Generations" conference at the Portland Convention Center, and a patrons' dinner for the opening of China Design Now at the Portland Art Museum. The last two gave us two new themed shows which can be customized for private or corporate events.
Le Cirque - An evening of Variete
On October 1, Pendulum premiered Le Cirque for the Northwest Human Resource Management Association's 71st annual conference, "Juggling the Generations" at the Portland Convention Center. The show's theme celebrates the now classic stylings of contemporary European circus. Longtime collaborator, Andrew Adams joined us to open the show.

High Art: A Surreal Portrait of the Soul
Save the date! Pendulum Dance Theatre is pleased to announce that it's 10th anniversary show, "High Art: A Surreal Portrait of the Soul," will be presented August 19-22, 2010 in the Grand Ballroom of the Portland Art Museum. We are delighted to be partnering with the museum, and look forward to welcoming back long-time collaborator, singer Sasha Lazard, and the musicians of Love Project who will be creating a sophisticated soundtrack with us for the show.
