Out & About with Pendulum Dance Theatre!
|
Hello Everyone!
Pendulum is relaxing for a brief moment after an incredible and incredibly busy July! What a month we've had: We participated in a First Thursday event at Lululemon; raised money for the Regional Arts & Culture Council while welcoming into existence a brand new location of the fabulous Sinju Restaurant; and we capped off the month of July by bringing our flare to the Skinvisible Fashion Show at the Portland Art Museum!
So what's coming up next for Pendulum Dance Theatre?
In August, we look forward to hosting two very special guest artists all the way from Bristol, England for our two-week annual Summer Intensive! We will also be bringing ambiance to Friday nights at Aura Supper Club & Lounge and preparing for more events in the months to come!

Thank you for keeping up with Pendulum Dance Theatre! Sincerely,

Summer Intensive
August is here and Pendulum is getting ready for another year of our annual Summer Intensive workshop! Now in it's 7th year, this amazing workshop has been taught throughout the years by many celebrated aerialists, contortionists, hand balancers and jugglers, including the likes of Andrew Adams & Erika Gilfether, Cohdi Harrel, Fred Deb, and many, many more! During the workshop, our students focus on developing a foundation of skills on trapeze, rope, hoop, and aerial silks, as well as handbalancing and flexibility in a fun and supportive environment! This year's internationally acclaimed staff will include Nicole Pearson, a former core member of Pendulum Dance Theatre and her partner, James Frith! Nicky is currently working as a free-lance artist in her home country of England performing in such high end events as the Royal Variety Show and the Princess Diana Memorial Concert, but has also been traveling around the world with Heliosphere and many others. Pendulum on the Go!
Gone are the days when our ability to bring aerial work to your events had be decided by the height of your ceilings, and whether or not it was possible to install a hanging point! Pendulum can now bring our signature high-flying acts with us using our beautiful new portable truss! This month, we debuted this fantastic piece of equipment at the TRILOGY Expansion Parties held at Bridgeport Village and Clackamas Town Center for Sinju restaurant! (photo by Analiese Moyer) The rig can be set to 20, 15 or 13 feet and is fast and easy to set up! For booking information, visit www.pendulumdancetheatre.org!
