Pendulum's Ninth Year!
Pendulum Dance Theatre proudly presents NINE, an Evening of unconfined Circus Portland-based
Pendulum Dance Theatre will be presenting NINE, an evening of
contemporary circus, on May 2nd and 3rd at the French American
International School in Portland. Currently
enjoying its ninth professional session, the company will open it
doors in celebration this spring and invite audiences to view new works
and old favorites. Act One of NINE presents the work-in progress of
Pendulum's newest creation, based on the number 9 and the time 9am.
Act Two revives select circus and dance pieces from previous Pendulum
performances. NINE
features the work of guest choreographers Andrew and Erica Adams, Tanya
Burka, and Mary Hunt. Aerial acrobatics, contortion, story-telling,
and dance meld in performances by the resident Pendulum Dance Theatre
Company members along with special guest artists. The production is

 About the company of professional performers continues to grow the company welcomed back Luis Torres after a 4 year absence, Lindsey Morrow a beautiful dancer and contortionist moved from Tennessee to join the company along with Anna Vigeland a graduate of L'ÉCOLE NATIONALE DE CIRQUE who had the crowd roaring in Pendulum's fall performance of Backstage joins us for the winter season and will perform with us in NINE. Other company members are Sara Hardy, hula hoop and contortionist extraordinaire, Melissa Kellermen, head of education program, Angela Kim, former professional figure skater, and Pendulum Flyers Trevor Buck and Josie Buck who complete the company. |

Guest Artists
L'ÉCOLE NATIONALE DE CIRQUE Graduate and Aerialist Tanya Burka worked with the company creating a new work for NINE. She has been an intricate collaborator in our upcoming spring production of NINE.
In our annual winter workshop this month , we will be hosting Andrew and Erika Adams just off an 8 month stint with famed cabaret Teatro Zinzanni. This duo will set new work on the company in our much anticipated priemer of NINE. |
