According to the 2007 National Survey of Adoptive Parents (NCFMR tabulations), American families include 1.8 million adopted children. One quarter (25%) of these children are adopted internationally, while 37% are adopted from the public foster care system, and 38% are adopted through an agency. 

 

 

The NCFMR is pleased to announce the release of a series of data resources on adoption.
