Social Workers: Help Starts Here
KB logoMy new calendar for 2009 is one published by the National Association of Social Workers. I love it because interspersed with stories about actual social workers are lists of the varied areas and populations that social workers work with:
  • Mental Health
  • Foster Care and Adoption
  • Nursing Homes
  • Military
  • Prisons
  • Genetics
  • Teens
  • Guardianship
  • Advanced Care Planning
  • Substance Use
  • Criminal Justice
The last page of the calendar sums it up:

From senior centers to schools, hospitals to disaster relief, help is as close as a Social Worker. And this is their address. Learn more. Start here.

Katten & Benson is unique among elder law firms in the area because we have a social worker on staff. Kim works with our Life Care clients, but she is also available to assist if you have questions about nursing homes, home health, or any number of care issues.

March is Social Work month, so if a Social Worker has helped you, be sure to take the time to say thank you.
