Steven E. Katten, Certified Elder Law Attorney
Steve KattenSteven E. Katten is one of two Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELA) in Tarrant County. He has practiced in Texas for over twenty-five years. A graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Texas School of Law, Steve is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate.
He sits on the board of directors for several local organizations, including the Tarrant County Probate Bar Association, Guardianship Services, Inc., and the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
His experience in the Elder Law field has poured over into other areas, having served as the Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Tarrant County Area Agency on Aging and being a contributing author to the Practitioner Publishing Company's Practical Guide to Estate Planning.
Since opening his own practice, he remains committed to his original vision:helping older adults and their families with all of the
planning issues that are important to them.
Steve's commitment to helping older adults with their planning needs is evidenced by the move toward becoming a Life Care Planning law firm.
Steve has long understood that many of the older adults and their families who come to him for planning need more than legal services. His clients are often in the middle of some type of crisis, often a health crisis, and they are making important decisions with long term ramifications, such as the choice of a nursing home for a loved one.
This realization was the catalyst behind the decision to include Life Care Planning as something the firm could offer people as they are making long term plans for loved ones.
