NJ State Triathlon
Spring training has taken on a whole other meaning this summer for the 80+ members of the Ryan's Quest team who will compete this weekend in the NJ State Triathlon. Members may either choose to participate in either an Olympic or Sprint distance triathlon and as an individual or as a relay team. But regardless of the personal endeavor for each member, we all have one common goal...to compete for those who can't! It's amazing the physical endeavors we attempt and explore when it comes to our children. If you would like to support us in this race, please visit www.firstgiving.com/davidschultz3 or through the Ryan's Quest website. It's extremely fast, easy & secure! Every dollar counts.... We are extremely grateful for the continued support of our past members and are very excited to meet the new members of the Tri N' 4 Ryan Team. We would also like to thank our event sponsors New Balance of Princeton, Bicycle Pro of Bordentown, First Choice Bank, and Hamilton Fitness Center. Team food supplied by Villa Mannino, Powerbar, and Perky Jerky.

Varsity Baseball & Softball teams across Mercer County suited up once again to battle it out for first place. While doing so, they united in a battle against Duchenne! Teams recruited sponsors from the surrounding communities to donate money for each "hit" made throughout the entire season. Thank you to all the participants and sponsors for another great year! A special thank you to HHW Coach John Costantino & Kevin Maloney for your dedication to this project! |

Ryan's Quest Fest 3
The third time is certainly a charm! The 3rd Annual Ryan's Quest Fest has proven to be a community favorite...not to mention Ryan's. With 1,000 supporters in attendance the day was full of fun...even amidst the rain. Some of the yearly favorites were face painting, juggling, pony rides & tattoo artists; we also added some new entertainment to the list such as stilt walkers, tow truck displays, and a magic show! We cannot forget to mention the live entertainment by all of the bands and the law enforcement appeal of the K9 dog demos, military vehicles, and the landing of the NJ State Police Helicopter. This event continues to be a great success...However, this would never be possible without the help of all of you. Thank you to all who attended, volunteered their time, or donated goods or services that day! Again, we were able to raise a remarkable amount of funds for research! A special thank you to our feature sponsor Roma Bank, our Food Sponsor Foley's Shop N'Bag, and Hamilton Honda for your support in this event.

got hope?
We do! Thank you to the following individuals who offered their own hands of hope to Ryan's Quest by organizing fundraisers to benefit our cause.
"Dancing It Up" for Duchenne Local dance studio, Dance It Up, of Hamilton NJ chose Ryan's Quest as their charity of choice for 2009-2010. Under the direction of Mrs. Jennifer Chin-Gorner, students & families supported our cause by holding fundraisers throughout the year, such as a Ladies Night for Ryan's Fight. They also focused on heightening awareness by preparing a slideshow for the recital and dedicating 2 amazing and inspirational performances to Ryan's Quest. Thank you all so much! A special thank you to the Chin-Gorner family for matching the studio's earnings. It was so very kind and generous.
Spice & Ice! Late in June, friends of ours hosted two separate fundraisers on the same night to benefit our cause. A special thank you to Jennifer & Joshua Besserman who organized a Mexican fiesta night at Chevy's of Princeton and Nicole Ribeiro and our friends at PNC Bank for hosting a night at Rita's Water Ice in East Windsor, NJ.
Tackling DMD Broadway H.S located in Broadway Virginia hosted it annual football camp which featured former NFL pro-bowler Joe Jacoby and several college coaches. The Shenandoah Valley boys donated a portion of the proceeds to RQ!!
High School Help Hightstown High School students and staff members hosted several fundraisers including a volleyball tournament and powder puff game to support not only Ryan's Quest, but Ryan's older brother David (a fellow classmate) in his fight to help his little brother. These efforts raised a tremendous amount of funding & awareness for DMD research. Thank you all for your support of David, our family, the many other families strickened by this disease.
