ABC's & 123's... Take a look at what we've been doing, if you please...
With Ryan recently beginning pre-school, we are feeling both proud and anxious about this milestone in his life. He loves his new school, his new friends, & of course his independence. He truly has a love for learning and of course "socializing & schmoozing"! As a teacher, I am amazed that he already knows his letters & sounds and that he is actually able to tell us all about his day at school... And as parents, we are so proud to watch him grow and learn each day but also scared of the obstacles he may face while away from us. With each day that passes, we are getting closer than ever to a treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. As muscles get weaker, our fight gets stronger. Our goal at this point is to preserve every ounce of muscle that we can for Ryan, while simultaneously pushing forward to bring these therapies out of the lab and into the lives of all boys battling DMD. Please take a moment learn about what we've been doing at Ryan's Quest and for a few ideas on how you can help. |
| A Annoucements |
We are announcing an addition to our scientific advisory board.... Dr. Brian Tseng!
As an assistant professor, Dr. Tseng joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School/ MGH in the Department of Neurology, Division of Child Neurology. With an MD/PhD background, he is a physician-scientist working to find better treatments and better care for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Dr. Tseng is also a board-certified pediatric neurologist with neuromuscular interest. |
| B Big Business....Big Help |
Since acquiring our 501 (c)(3) tax exempt public charity status, we have been very fortunate to be placed on several matching gift and charitable giving program lists. These opportunities have impacted this organization greatly. If you or someone you know works for a company that offers these programs please inquire about adding Ryan's Quest to the list of eligible charities. Just think...5 minutes of your time could mean 5 more tomorrows for boys living with Duchenne.

Raising awareness about this disease is very important to us. We need your help to let others know about our cause. Awareness could be the final key that opens two doors...one for a cure and the other for a future!
