| A Look Back |

Ryan's Quest ended the summer with its 1st Annual Dine & Dance for Duchenne, which was a great success! Attendees enjoyed good food, a great band, distinguished guest speakers and had a blast bidding the night away during our silent auction. The prize earning the greatest was a week's stay at a Walt Disney World Resort and one of the most popular bided items were tickets to one of the last games at Yankee Stadium. Speaking of baseball, police and firefighters throughout the state of New Jersey teamed up for a charity softball game in which all proceeds benefited Ryan's Quest. The rained poured down as the donations poured in, earning $7,000. Not only have we worked hard to raise money for Duchenne research, we have also spent a lot of time raising awareness about this disease. The community has offered overwhelming support to which we are extremely grateful. Throughout the months of September and October, Ryan's Quest was represented at numerous festivals where we given the opportunity to meet new people and introduce our cause. It's amazing to see how the word is spreading and how Ryan's Quest is making its way to different states! We are very grateful for the support of all who volunteered their time and efforts to Ryan's Quest. We would especially like to recognize the students in our hometown of Hamilton, NJ who have taken on this cause. They have truly become Ryan's Quest's biggest advocates. Their support, ideas, motivation and voices have helped to bring Ryan's Quest great success! From "Quarters for a Cure" and walkathons, to dances and donating their time at sand art tables, these students have committed themselves to saving Ryan and all other boys affected by DMD. Friends, relatives and even mere acquaintances have offered support in unique ways as well. The Perelli Anson, Geiger, Krall, Innocenzi, Locane, & Mitchell Families donated funds to fight DMD in honor birthdays, anniversaries and memorials. As the world of DMD research begins to grow, so do we. We have already begun to plan for future events in the upcoming year. Whether you have just become familiar with Ryan's Quest or if you have been with us from the beginning, we appreciate your support. It is your support that gives us hope for Ryan's future. We would have never thought that Ryan's Quest would grow to be so recognized in such a short period of time. However, that success is because of all of you. Your efforts WILL make a difference in ending Duchenne. Ryan's Quest has become our mission in life. Ryan happiness and love for life continues to give us the strength and hope for a brighter future. Thank you for making it a part of your life!
