Craigies Farm Shop and Cafe Newsletter

Newsletter December 2009
Greetings!

In just a weeks time I will be enjoying my second glass of wine, with my feet up in front of the fire looking forward to a nice long lie the next morning (the next morning being Christmas Day!)

Kirsteen and I were invited to this years Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards last week.  We were very lucky to be at the same table as two very local and famous writers, unfortunately neither gave me any tips or tricks of the trade on how to improve my writing skills!!
Hello Mrs Rebus......!  It was a great evening great company, food, and whisky, what else could one ask for?

Extension Update
Its finished, well nearly!!  The builders have been great and caused very little disruption considering how much work they have had to do.  The guys will finish tidying the site up tomorrow.
What is next?  We still have a few wee changes to do inside to improve the service and flow through the shop and cafe, we will carry this work out early next year.
Algo has a great team of guys and I would recommend them to anyone (wonder if that will get any discount from the final bill ?!!)

Craigie's has a butcher
If you have been up in the last week will have noticed our stunning butchery counter, stocked with some great local meat.
Steve, Stewart, Shaun and Sophie have all been working really hard to get the counter set up.  Not only will you be able to speak to a real butcher, you will also be able to speak to the people who look after the live stock as well.  The sausage table arrived today so you will be able to watch your sausages getting made.
Please let me know what you think about our latest addition, and please let the butchery team know what you want them to stock!

and some bad news....
A dog got in to our hens today and unfortunately the hens came off worse.  Half of the new Rode Rock hens did not make it, I fear that there will be a lot more losses by the morning as most of the hens appeared to be in shock tonight.
We are very keen to talk to a male dog owner with a stripy hat, glasses and a brown pointer type dog!  If any one has any info please call me - 07768 530624

I would like to take this chance to thank you for all of your support over the last year, it is really appreciated.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Regards
John
