Edible2Malama Kauai recently won the Edible Hawaiian Islands Magazineʻs 2011 Best Nonprofit Local Hero Award. Announcements will be made in the winter issue of the publication.

KABKeep the Hawaiian Islands Beautiful, in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful, Inc. will conduct a special introductory meeting for people interested in learning more about Keep Kaua`i Beautiful.
Cecile Carson, Affiliate Services Director for KAB, Jan Dapitan, KHIB Hawaii State Leader, and Chris Woolaway, Executive Director of Keep Honolulu Beautiful will join Beth Tokioka, Eddie Sarita, and Keith Suga to discuss the building of a local affiliate on Kauai.
Support from government, business and community working together can solve many neighborhood issues relative to litter control, recycling and solid waste, beautification and community greening and improvement.
