Do You Wear Two Different Size Shoes?
There is a website that allows users to buy and
sell mismatched pairs of shoes and/or single shoes. A large percentage
of users are either polio survivors or have problems related to
diabetes.

As you know, amputees are being refused the insurance benefits that they need to live active and productive lives. Coverage is variable and inadequate to meet individual needs. The
Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is committed to tackling these
issues head on through legislative remedies as well as playing a role

Prosthetic Course
 Alexander Lyons, C.P.O. from Lyons P&O taught a prosthetic course for the Waccamaw Rehabilitation Center rehab staff on
January 7, 2009. The course entitled "Introduction/Review Of Lower Extremity
Prosthetics," covered prosthetic history, followed by detailed prosthetic
advancements. Also in attendance were Trent Bowers from Otto Bock and Eric
Westover from UpperEx. Staff at the Waccamaw Rehabilitation Center were given
valuable tools and knowledge that they can pass on to their patients. For

UpperEx National Outreach
Coalition (UNOC) welcomed Alexander Lyons, CPO, CEO Lyons P&O,
and the staff at Lyons P&O in Myrtle Beach, SC as their newest Facility
Member.

partner with us as a Facility Member, supporting and accessing our programs and
