Stand In Awe
In true human fashion, I was wrestling with the details of work one day not long ago. You know, trying to figure out things that I didn't have much control over, but wanting to pretend that I did. I heard the accusations from the enemy pretty plainly, but I wasn't hearing very clearly from God. I eventually shrugged off the day, deciding I would have clarity at some point, and went about my activities. That evening, while "thumbing through" some pages of Scripture, I landed in one of my favorites books; Ecclesiastes. Illuminated previously by my high-lighter was this part of a verse "... stand in awe of God." (5:7) I just set back in my chair, swimming in the revelation. When I give Gods the reins, I'm always amazed at how He does just what needs to be done, when it needs to be done. And all I can do is stand in awe. If we could just remember that we could save ourselves so much daily frustration and anxiety.Greg Tutwiler, CCLC, BCPC
