Drive It Out
Carl Jung said, "What you resist persists." Do you have something you know you should take care of, but haven't? How about one of those negative situations that you just keep hoping will go away on it's own? My experience is, it doesn't go away. It just festers, and hangs around. All the while it effects attitudes and relationships. Look at what God said to Moses, "if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live." (Numbers 33:55) What "inhabitants" have you allowed to remain in your life that needs to be driven out? Often times we pray for God to remedy a situation when the reality is that we have some issues we've allowed to take up residence within our life; issues we need to sort out. Earlier in that passage, God told Moses, "take possession of that land." And using that as an example for us; take possession of the "land" God has given you. Don't allow the enemy spirits to remain as "barbs" and "thorns." Peace is available now if you'll reclaim possession. Otherwise, the torment and mental anguish will persist.
