World At War
Why me? I'm not anybody. God can't use me. If you knew all my junk, you wouldn't even want to hang out with me. I don't have anything that spiritual to offer. Have I named your's yet? Look at what God told Jeremiah; "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart." (1:5) And Jesus said, "The very hairs on your head are all numbered." (Matthew 10:30) Do you think he'd bother counting the hairs on your head if you didn't matter?
God put us together long ago. And for each one of us, He created a special life, and planned special accomplishments, and special contributions to the human race. The problem is that we enter into a world already at war. A spiritual battle is underway. And all of your specialness came under assault the moment you were born. Paradise was lost with Adam and Eve back in Genesis. And at that moment the battle lines were drawn.
When you chose Christ, you denied Satan's authority. That made you a target. It's important to remember that. If you go through your day understanding that you and you're faith are a threat to the enemy, you will better understand the day you encounter. He knows what you're capable of. Do you?
