By Faith
"For we walk by faith not by sight." (II Corinthians 5:7) Do we? I can look around at my life on any given day and get frustrated pretty quickly. I'm behind on this deadline; that circumstance is unresolved; that relationship is being tested; I don't have enough money ... you fill in the blank. But where's my faith in that?
The writer of Hebrews said, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (11:1) Walking by faith, the assurance of things hoped for, instead of what we see not working around us is tough. But Scripture tells us that the righteous will live by faith. As a believer you have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus. Be strong in that. You and I can walk in faith and assurance that He will stand with us and for us. All our anxiety only serves to tear away at that faith. It never fixes anything.
