Worn By Opposition

Daily Life Quote:
"Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out by the opposition of men and devils; but if God be for you, who can be against you? Are all of them together stronger than God? 0 "be not weary in well-doing." Go on, in the name of God, and in the power of his might." John Wesley

Daily Life Verse:
"If God is for us, who can be against us?"
(Romans 8:31)

Daily Life Thought:
Do you ever get the feeling that all of life is stacked against you? Everywhere you turn you meet with opposition of some kind. One of two things is going on in my opinion. Either you are churning out there on your own, doing things your way, expecting spiritual help that is not going to show up; or you are right where you are suppose to be, battling the forces that are trying to keep you from completing your mission. Which is it? On the one hand, eventually you'll crash and burn. You cannot keep up that kind of life and survive if God's not in the boat with you. On the other, if you have been raised up for this very assignment, God will not allow you to face any more than He knows you can handle. If you're in His will, He will see you through, despite all of the doubters, all of the obstacles, and all the enemy assaults; even if it takes 40 years to realize the end result. John Wesley wrote the quote above in his last letter, written to William Wilberforce six days before Wesley died, encouraging him to continue the fight to abolish slavery. It would be 16 more years before Wilberforce's efforts paid off.

Daily Life Discovery:
What has God called you to? Are you willing to see it through, no matter what, despite all the doubt, all the opposition, and all the wondering if you heard God correctly?
