Make This Day Count
Daily Life Quote: "Why has time disappeared in our culture? How is it that after decades of inventions and new technologies devoted to saving time and labor, the result is that there is no time left? We are a time-poor society; we are temporally impoverished. And there is no issue, no aspect of human life, that exceeds this in importance. The destruction of time is literally the destruction of life." Jacob Needleman
Daily Life Verse: "Show me O Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life." (Psalm 39:4)
Daily Life Thought: There aren't many things in life that are guaranteed. One thing you can count on though, 100% of the time, is that this life here on earth will end for all of us. Each of us are allotted a certain amount of days, hours, and minutes. However you want to argue that point, the bottom line is, time is running out for each of us. And as we each grow older, it seems that those years go by faster and faster for some reason. I remember as a youth, time seemed to creep by at times. My youngest says he can't wait til he grows up. If he only knew. No matter what we come up with to help us manage time, something always seems to come along to consume it. There are only 24 hours in a day, period. How do you spend your allotted days? Can you close your eyes at night confident you made this day count?
Daily Life Discovery: How might you manage your time differently in order to take the most advantage of the time you have? Are there things you feel led or called to do that you haven't made time for yet?
