Passionate Motivation
Daily Life Quote: "Every man without passions has within him no principal of action, nor motive to act." Claude-Adrien Helvetius
Daily Life Verse: "keep this desire in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you." (I Chronicles 29:18)
Daily Life Thought: It doesn't take much to get someone to understand the need for a change in their life. Most folks that struggle with a weight issue wouldn't argue that they shouldn't address it. But information is not transformation. There has to be deep understanding of the importance of it. It's more than just dropping 20 pounds. There has to be a passionate desire to make a life long change. It's not a crash diet. It's a transformation of the belief system. And that is really tough. It takes a desire within the heart to stay loyal to the process of transformation, especially when there appears to be little or no immediate change. Such is the same with our life in the Spirit. Just as it takes a daily commitment to learning a new way to deal with food, it takes daily practice to instill the understanding and experience of life within the Kingdom of Heaven. If we are not passionate about our walk with God, how can we stay loyal to Him?
Daily Life Question: Is there any area in your life that could use a dose of passion? How might that change the outcome of your life?
