Freedom Living Life Coaching logoWhen Jesus gets real with His disciples, we learn of their reaction; "From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
"You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve.
Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God."  (John 6:66-69)
How are you responding to Jesus these days?

GREG's NEW BOOK
COMING 1/2010
Merely Acceptable

Daily Life Quote:
"People set out with grand dreams of changing the world, falling in love, doing something amazing. But the drift toward the merely acceptable happens without notice."  Donald Miller

Daily Life Verse:
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." (John 10:10a
)

Daily Life Thought:
I sat down the other evening with a book in hand intent on reading. It's a book about dreams, and passion, and faith. On the couch where I sat lay the TV remote. "Hmm ... Maybe I'll check the news for a minute while I settle in," I thought. 90 minutes later I was disgusted by what my surfing had revealed, and the interest in reading my book was gone. That life style is so easy to fall into without even realizing what you've done. Instead of heading off to bed filled with faith and anticipation about what the next day would hold, I was irritated, and detached from the Kingdom. There's a dangerous drift that happens with the habitual attachment to the world. The thief steals your hope in something more, kills your dreams of making a difference, and destroys the desire to even dream big dreams. If you've ever played in the ocean, you know that the current can shift you way down shore in a short period of time. Allowing yourself much time associated with this world produces the same results.

Daily Life Question:
How often do you find yourself being pulled into the things of this world? What are some ways you can rescue yourself from that drift?
