Spring is here and it is time for new things to happen. At the Maui Center of the Hawaii SBDC Network, we are happy to report that Charlene Sagapolutele has "graduated" from the SBDC to launch a new Polynesian Dance business with her husband Mark. Replacing Charlene is Pat Diaz who many of you already know from her work with the Hawaii Business Research Library.
We also have a new Hawaii SBDC State Director, Bill Carter, and look forward to introducing him to you.
Most immediately, we are experimenting with some new ways of communicating. For example, this message is coming to you via Constant Contact, an e-mail relationship management tool. This should help us to more easily and effectively send you news and updates.
We are revitalizing the
Cool Projects Maui blog and podcast with the goal of posting at least weekly. This will include short articles, video, audio, or useful websites. We are also going to include our own content in the form of short presentations, interviews with interesting entrepreneurs, thinkers, etc. One of the advantages of blogs is that they have indexes so you can easily find stuff that has been posted.
We will use Constant Contact to periodically send you a short note summarizing what is going on in the blog.
Feedback is important for all of us, so we are also going to start experimenting with survey and quizz tools for when we cover more complex topics. We will make these fun as well as informative.
There is more, but in keeping with our goal of keeping thinks succinct, we will stop now. Stay tuned and also send us your questions, ideas, etc.
Aloha and Mahalo
