All-School Welcome Back Picnic
Tuesday, Sept. 4th, 3:30 - 5:30pm
Please join students, staff, parents and community members for a fun filled afternoon re-connecting, making new friends and enjoying delicious food and great company to kick off our 2012-13 school year. (The potluck will begin immediately following the open house on campus).
This is a great way for families of each grade to meet with each other and Gateway faculty.
Burgers (both veggie and beef) and hot dogs will be provided by the Dad's Group. Please look below for suggested items you are encouraged to bring (according to last name):
A - G Appetizers and/or drinks
H - N Salads (Pasta, Grains, Green, Fruit, etc)
O - S Desserts (finger foods)
T - Z Side dishes and/or drinks
Don't forget your own place-settings (plate, silverware and cups) - Thanks for keeping Gateway GREEN!
Also - and most importantly - we will need volunteers for set-up, grilling/serving and clean-up. Please contact GPA Co-Presidents Andrea Hultzen drehultzen@gmail.com and Shiva Hurvitz shiva.hurvitz@yahoo.com as soon as possible, if you can help.
So remember - mark your calendars, please volunteer if you can, and remember to bring your own dishes to the event.

GPA Welcome Back Parent Coffee

Come and reconnect with your Gateway friends and meet our new parents at this GPA sponsored coffee gathering in the West Cliff Room on the first day of school after you drop your kids off.

Sharks After-School Sports
Sharks Coed Flag-Football (7th/8th) sign-ups and practice begins Tuesday, Sept 4th 5-6pm (at the end of the Potluck picnic).
5th/6th practices will begin the following week. All early-season practices will be at Gateway's campus. Players should come to practice with field shoes (rubber cleats if possible), athletic attire and water.
Sharks Girls Basketball begins Thursday, Sept 6th
7th/8th Girls Basketball will have it's first practice on Thursday, September 6th at 3:30PM at the Circle Church Gym. 5th/6th will follow with practice from 5-6:30PM. The girls should have court shoes, athletic attire and water.

The second 7th/8th practice will be held after school, 3:30-5:00 on Wednesday, September 5.

Reminder from the Business Office
You must clear your billing account by TOMORROW
August 31st!
If your child is enrolled in Gateway School for the 2012-13 school year, the terms of your Enrollment Contract state that your child will not be cleared to start attending class when school opens in September unless your balance is paid in full up to date. This means that the total balance shown on the July 31, 2012 billing statement must be paid in full by the close of business (5:00 pm) tomorrow Friday, August 31st. If your child is not enrolled in Gateway School for the 2012-13 school year, please note that your account may be subject to late fees and other consequences if your balance is not paid in full by this deadline. We urge you to please keep your account in good standing by making sure that your payment in full reaches the Gateway School Main Office no later than 5:00 pm tomorrow. Thank you very much.
