Percy's Blog
T-Shaped Future In his recent article in The New Yorker, Ken Auletta, examines the Stanford University's entrepreneurial history, the people that helped to shape the university's legacy, and the fortunes that have been made by its notable students, alumni and faculty. Auletta's profile of Stanford University (or Get Rich U., as it is referred to in the article), offers insights into its approach to cultivating and mentoring young talent by professors, graduate students, and Silicon Valley venture capitalists. President John Hennessy suggests that Stanford embodies the pioneering spirit of the west, and credits its successes to attracting "people (who) are willing to try things."

Tuition Payments
Annual and Semi-Annual Tuition Payments Are Due Soon:
If you chose to pay your child's 2012-2013 tuition on the Annual or Semi-Annual payment plan, your Annual or Semi-Annual tuition payment is due by the close of business (5:00 pm) on Thursday, May 31st. We recommend that families start making arrangements for this payment now so that the required funds are sure to be available by May 31st. The exact amount of your tuition payment appears on the April 30th billing statement that was sent to you in the first week of May.
If you chose the Annual-Credit Card tuition payment plan, your credit card information is already on file and we will charge the full tuition to your card on May 31st. Please make sure that there is sufficient credit left on your credit card so that this payment will go through on May 31st. If you chose the Annual-Cash or Semi-Annual tuition payment plan, your payment must be made in cash or by check. No late fees will accrue on this tuition charge as long as your payment arrives in the Main Office (or clears your credit card account) by 5:00 p.m. on May 31st. We urge parents to be on time with their tuition payments so that they may avoid the late fees and loss of tuition discounts that result from being late with their payments, and so they may avoid placing their children's enrollment (and any financial aid they may have received) in jeopardy. Please contact Rima in the Business Office at x 308 if you have any questions.
