Music Program Update
I am happy to announce that Kristin Allen will be returning to the staff next year to work alongside Kristin Engineer in our music department. The musical Kristins will share teaching responsibilities, with Ms. Engineer teaching grades K - 2 and Ms. Allen teaching grades 3 - 5; each will teach a semester elective as well. I am so excited to see and hear what this collaboration will produce in our students. Next year will be an exciting time for Gateway School and our music program. When you see Ms. Allen and Ms. Engineer please congratulate them.

Grandparents Day - Thank Yous
We thank Mika Jarnagin-Knox and Aerin Martin for co-coordinating Grandparents Day and to the many parent volunteers who brought food, helped with set-up and registration and to grandfather Dr. Art Liu who spoke to the Middle School students and grandparents.
Special 4th grade aknowledgemetnts from Caprice: A very special thank you to the wonderful garden helpers for the 4th graders spaghetti squash feast for GP day! We could not have fed 4th graders and their grandparents without the amazing help setting up, serving and clean-up of all the garden staff and incredible parent volunteers. A huge thank you to Kristin Smith for elegantly plating each serving of the 4th graders spaghetti squash, tomato sauce and pesto, Christy Brandt for the preparation with 4th graders of a garden salad, Sharon Chipman for endless seeming clean-up, Andrea Hultzen for working the serving assembly line with grace and a constant smile, Joan Saia for stopping by and digging in to help, and thank you to Sari and Kurt for serving and bringing cheese, drinks and bread to help us feed over 80 people!
