Important Reminder from the Business Office: In the paperwork that parents sign to enroll their children for the 2010-2011
school year is an explanation of the need for parents to pay off
their billing accounts in full before the beginning of
the new school year. This requirement comes from policy set
by the Gateway School Board of Trustees which states that no student may attend
any Gateway School program unless his or her account is paid in full up to date
when school opens for the new school year. Please pay careful attention to the
billing statement dated July 31, 2010 that was sent to you in the first week of
August. The total balance shown on
that statement is due by the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on August 31, 2010,
at the latest. If we do not receive
payment in full for the balance shown on this statement by the close of business
on August 31st, your child will not be cleared to begin
Gateway
School with his or her classmates on
September 1st. If you did not receive a July 31, 2010 billing statement, it means
that your child's account is already paid in full and there is nothing more you
need to do at this time. If you have any questions about your account, please feel free to
contact Gateway
School 's Business Manager,
Rima Dunton, at 423-0341 x 308 or at rima.dunton@gatewaysc.org.
Driving on Field Trips:
Field
trips for some classes start during the first week of school and we need
parent volunteer drivers with proof of clean driving records to
make these trips possible. - If you are
not already registered with the DMV's Employer Pull Notice (EPN) program for
Gateway School, and would like to drive on field trips during the
2010-2011 school year, please take the following steps as soon as
possible.
- Fill out
the DMV form that was sent to you in your June packet. Copies of this form
are available in the Main Office. Return the form to the Main Office along
with a check for $10, payable to Gateway School. Please use one form per
driver, and remit one $10 fee per driver.
- Make a
copy of your Proof of Insurance card and turn it in to the Main
Office. Please remember to turn in a new copy of your Proof of Insurance
whenever you
renew your car insurance.
Thank you very much
for helping to enrich the school experience of your child and his or her
classmates by volunteering to
drive! |
