SCHOOL LIFE

Last Wednesday, at the Second Harvest Food Drive awards dinner Gateway School won an award for gathering 24 lbs of food per student and being one of the largest school contributors to the Holiday Food Drive! Congratulations to Gateway 6th graders for their stellar effort in organizing the Food Drive for our school.   A special thank you goes to 6th grade teacher Lydia, who has championed this 6th grade community service project for years, and has dedicated hours of personal and classroom time to this food drive, and most importantly, inspiring and retaining the interest of all of the students.  Thank you to all Gateway parents and students for supporting such a meaningful effort to feed the hungry in Santa Cruz County.
