Greetings!
Thank you for an incredible year!
RiverBend Academy has exceeded its funding goal for 2009 thanks to your kind support and enthusiasm for our arts ministry. We will meet all our financial obligations past and present; no small feat for a 3-year-young non-profit in turbulent economic times.
Additionally, we will start the New Year with a small pocket of funds to enable scholarships for children in need of financial assistance to pursue a dream of art, music or other performing arts. We are most excited about pursuing a new relationship with Central Learning Center as well as expanding after-school classes at South Middle School.
You did this! You said YES! Yes to helping our kids locally pursue their artistic dreams through wonderful mentoring arts instruction! Thank you on behalf of all of us working tirelessly to keep the RiverBend dreams alive for others.
We still have a lot of work to do. There are many schools and children in need in our region. We aren't about to rest on our laurels. And we hope you won't either!
Please help us continue to pursue more for the kids & teens locally. Here's how you can help today and in 2010:
- Forward this e-mail to 10 other people, tell them about us and encourage them to sign up to receive our E-News.
- Look over our class offerings on our website and inquire how you, your child or someone you know could benefit from our classes. We have classes for newborns all the way to people in their 80's. There is something for everyone! By taking & paying for our classes,it keeps us sustainable to meet our operations expenses.
- Talk to business owners or corporations where you work and encourage them to include RBA in their 2010 sponsorship & budget plans for high visibility fundraiser events -- Events like: Dancing With Our Stars, Holiday Pops and more! We'll come make a presentation if you can get us in the door!
- Get with your Sunday school class, service group or family and agree to sponsor one child for one year and keep a child active, engaged and pursuing something positive that will change their life! (Approximately $1,000 sponsors a year of lessons and all needs associated with those lessons).
- Volunteer -- we need people to help us make contacts, work with schools, aid in putting on events and supporting our youth and instructors.
- Rent our beautiful facility for small private group events when not in use for school purposes. Have a lunch or dinner catered by our select group of caterers.
- Purchase art work from the monthly exhibitors in our Salon Gallery -- The beautiful works of Iris Gentry are in our gallery now.
- Purchase gift certificates for friends or family to take lessons in anything from voice to guitar; culinary events to Zumba; adult tap to ballroom -- lots of options!
Contact us if you need any information on anything mentioned above.
Again, thank you for an incredible 2009! It hasn't been easy...a start-up in these economic times, but we see the fruits of our labor. We see examples daily of what we are building and why we are doing what we do. You see it in the faces of our youth...their smiles, their excitement and the confidence they gain.
Help us get more people involved so we can subsequently help change more lives! Our kids need us more than ever!
Here's to 2010 and partnering more with you!
Blessings,
Leanne Banna-Pritchett
