CHANGE AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE LEAVES OF AUTUMN
The changing seasons are a metaphor for our ever-changing lives. We know on some level that change is necessary. We wish, work, and hope for change, while often unconsciously resisting it. We may find ourselves clinging to the familiar when it is not actually comfortable. So we put up with back pain, knee pain, or a "pain in the neck." How can we truly move toward and embrace change?
Once you know what you do, you can do what you want. - Moshe Feldenkrais, DSc
Our classes and workshops offer compelling strategies to tune in to ourselves -- so we truly feel what we are doing -- and the opportunity to discover new choices that make change appealing and pleasurable. With new strength, flexibility, coordination and an enhanced sense of self, we can meet our ever-changing world and flourish.
In the forward of the newly released book, Embodied Wisdom: The Collected Articles of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, David Zemach-Bersin draws our attention to the fact that Dr. Feldenkrais found "strong evidence that of our brain's one hundred billion neurons, we use only a very small percentage, leaving the rest available for learning new ways of moving, feeling, thinking, and acting." We highly recommend this book for further understanding and inspiration.
We look forward to sharing this potent work with you!
